DSI RF Systems NewsShark Radio
Portable transmission system
The DSI NewsShark Radio is a portable transmission system (7"x 4"x 1.7") system to cover stories in any market. Designed for ease of use, the system makes it simple to get multiple live feeds from events anywhere in the world where 3G or Wi-Fi is available. It encodes and transmits live audio in real time back to the studio using cellular or Wi-Fi technologies and with higher quality audio than cell phones or traditional remote systems. Audio is encoded in AAC for highest efficiency operations, and DSI's Robustivity feature allows the station to adjust the audio encoding to compensate for varying bandwidth availability, so that NewsShark Radio always transmits the highest quality audio that the network can support. It also features a two-way IFB feed for communications back to the studio.
