THX Surround Increases Among Major Manufacturers
Kirkland, WA - Sep 5, 2007 - Neural Audio Corporation and THX Ltd. have seen their Neural-THX Surround technology integrated in an estimated 70 percent of new audio-video receivers, from companies such as Sony, Pioneer, Yamaha, Onkyo, Integra, Denon and Marantz.
In addition to the home receiver launch in January 2006, Neural-THX Surround is involved in radio broadcast through XM Radio, and The Classical Radio Network (CPRN), as well as a number of commercial broadcasters across the United States.
Neural-THX Surround enables a bit rate-efficient and stereo-compatible representation of multi-channel audio. The technology accommodates the transmission of surround sound, even for applications with analog mixing constraints, audio compression and limited bandwidth such as digital audio, video broadcasting and Internet streaming.
