Symetrix Releases Airtools 6100 Firmware Upgrade
Mountlake Terrace, WA - Jan 8, 2009 - Symetrix has released an optional firmware update for the Airtools 6100 broadcast audio delay that adds a user-specified offset to the TC89 (ESE clock) output. With the new firmware, an additional menu in the 6100's user interface allows users to specify a constant offset time between zero and 60 seconds for the TC89 output so that the studio clock displays the time in delay plus the uplink/downlink latency. This allows the 6100 to accommodate delays incurred from ISDN lines, codecs, satellite signals and other paths with latency.
Upgrades are only performed at the Symetrix factory. The fee for the upgrade is $300 and also includes a full factory test and overnight return freight to the customer. To upgrade, contact Symetrix customer service at 425-778-7728, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST Monday through Friday, or email@example.com, or support.symetrixaudio.com).
Owners of older 20-second Airtools 6100s may combine a 40-second delay upgrade offer with this new firmware upgrade offer. The combined cost for both upgrades is $400.
