Sound4 Releases Voice V2
Lyon, France - Jul 12, 2012 - For the first time since its launch, Sound4 has released an upgrade for the Sound4 Voice processor. The free upgrade offers new features and improvements to provide more flexibility depending on microphones and voice type. A highlight of new features follows.
Talk Over: One or more users can be defined in Talk Over mode, which gives priority to a host over the over the guest voices.
Bus Mix Limiter: Both Bus Mix of Sound4 Voice are now protected by an overload protection, which prevents bus mix overload when several people speak simultaneously.
8-channel In/Out Audio Driver: To date, the Sound4 Voice L had Livewire inputs and outputs, and the Sound4 Voice AD had analog and AES/EBU inputs and outputs. Now all versions (L or AD) get more inputs and outputs through a PC audio driver.
System improvements include:
3-band Filter: A new management allows greater adjustment flexibility depending on the voice or microphone.
De-Esser: The De-Esser is quieter and more powerful thanks to an improved detector.
Brick Wall Limiter: A new, more flexible design allows a wide operating range without distortion and is equipped with a set of release presets, including soft or fast modes.
While V2 is a major update, existing presets can be preserved, but some adjustments may be necessary to take full advantage of the new version.
The Sound4 Voice received a Radio magazine Pick Hit at the 2012 NAB Show.
