FEMA Webinar on EAS Equipment Set for Sept. 1, 2011

Washington - Aug 31, 2011 - FEMA will hold a webinar on Sept. 1, 2011, called "Nationwide EAS Test Update Webinar – EAS Equipment Operation and Maintenance." The webinar is part of the effort to prepare broadcasters for the upcoming Nov. 8, 2011, national EAS test. The webinar will cover EAS device configuration, operation and maintenance.

The discussion will be led by EAS device subject matter experts to clarify EAS device instructions and procedures for receiving and relaying the EAN as well as general EAS messages. The discussion will also include a case study presentation on the recent Aug. 24, 2011, Puerto Rico Emergency Management Agency-originated RMT.

The webinar will be held Sept. 1 from 2 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. EDT. More information is available on the EAS Dialogue site.
