Las Vegas - Apr 21, 2009 - Mayah Communications has added Apt-x and Enhanced Apt-x to its Sporty codecs. It licensed the encoding technology from APTX, the developer and licensor.

Available under technology license agreement to systems and semiconductor designers, the Apt-x compression algorithm combines a 4:1 bit-rate efficiency with sub-2ms time delay.

Sporty offers a range of coding algorithms, including linear, G.711/G.722, Apt-x/E-Apt-x, MPEG-4 HE AACv2 and AAC ELD.
