DAS Offers CAP-Compliant Firmware Upgrade for Dasdec
Lyndonville, NY - Jul 20, 2010 - Digital Alert Systems (DAS) will provide a free firmware upgrade to support Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) compliance in all of its Dasdec EAS units. This upgrade, which will be included standard of each new Dasdec system, is available at no charge to existing users. The update allows users to fulfill the anticipated EAS CAP requirements. The upgrade will be available to Dasdec-I and Dasdec-II customers when the final FEMA/FCC CAP requirements are announced.
The Dasdec-II emergency messaging platform is an IP-based, CAP-compatible digital EAS encoder/decoder. The system includes a standard browser-based interface for remote monitoring and control, up to four Ethernet ports for multiple access points within a station, integrated support for MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 output, and support for a broad range of interface protocols and third-party products, as well as complete FCC-compliance logging within the system's non-volatile memory or network storage.
Contact Digital Alert Systems to arrange for a system update: 585-765-1155, email@example.com or www.digitalalertsystems.com.
