Radio K: 100 Years of Broadcasting
Radio K at the University of Minnesota is celebrating 100 years of broadcasting from its first transmission of Gopher football games via Morse Code in 1912 to today. Professor F.W. Springer created 9XI at the University of Minnesota, which was later changed to WLB to KUOM to WMMR and finally KUOM Radio K in 1993. Radio K is an award-winning student-run radio station of the University of Minnesota.
