Zaxcom Ships ZFR800 Hand-held Recording Microphone
Pompton Plains, NJ - Mar 26, 2007 - Zaxcom is now shipping the ZFR800 hand-held recording microphone, designed for portable interview recording. The ZFR800 records eight hours of uncompressed audio on a removable 2GB memory card. An integrated time-code receiver allows users to jam time code and sync multiple ZFR800 units remotely. The ZFR800 provides an ergonomic, camouflaged control pad for one-handed control of all record functions. It can be used with any Shure screw-on capsule.
Audio files are always recorded without compression. The recorder includes Zax Convert software to select the desired audio file format and resolution, such as WAV files in 16- or 24-bit resolution with a sample rate of 32, 44.1, 48, or 48.048kHz. The software will also convert files to MP3 format.
Shure has no affiliation with Zaxcom and has not endorsed nor will it warranty the use of its heads on non-Shure products. Zaxcom will exhibit at NAB2007 in booth N9017.
