Omnia.9 features separate processing cores for FM and HD-1 and (optional) HD-2 and HD-3. It also supports encoding to MP3 (Mpeg-1 Layer 3), MP2 (Mpeg-1 Layer 2), AAC, HE-AAC (including RTSP/3G for streaming to mobile phones), Ogg Vorbis and WMA Pro formats. A 7" touchscreen front panel, full remote control, on-screen keyboard, dynamically updatable RDS encoder, selectable SSB (Single Sideband) stereo encoder, and adjustable dynamic bass clipping are part of the toolkit.
HTTP push support for automation, such as dynamic RDS and streaming song titles, is also standard, as well as scheduled processing preset selection by dapart. Omnia.9 also has dual, independent power supplies and native Livewire network connectivity, in a 2RU package.
