McIntosh TM2

Binghamton, NY - Jul 14, 2008 - McIntosh Laboratory has introduced the TM2 AM/FM HD Radio tuner module at a suggested retail price of $800. Like McIntosh equipment, the tuner module is touted as being a "high-performance luxury component that provides users with the finest HD Radio reception."

The McIntosh module integrates with McIntosh's MA6600 integrated amplifier, and it was designed to integrate with future McIntosh products. The TM2 module makes the MA6600 McIntosh's first stereo receiver offered by the company in more than 15 years.

The module includes a blend feature to allow users to select between auto, digital-only or analog-only modes. Other receivers can do this, but many put that control deep in a setup menu. The module includes a remote, dual-differential AM antenna. The module is multicast capable, store 18 station presets (nine FM, nine AM), shows signal strength, station info, and RBDS data via the MA6600's front-panel display.
