New York - Nov 15, 2006 - Interep has signed an agreement for Arbitron Portable People Meter radio ratings services in the top 50 radio markets when Arbitron commercializes the PPM. Interep represents many broadcast groups including ABC/Disney, Beasley, Buckley Radio, CBS Radio, Cumulus Media Partners, Curtis Media, Emmis Communications, Entercom, Franklin Financial Media, Inner City Broadcasting, Renda Broadcasting and Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS).

The Arbitron Portable People Meter is scheduled to be used in the top 50 markets by Fall 2010, beginning with Houston, pending Media Rating Council accreditation in that market. To date, Arbitron has announced contracts for PPM ratings services with a dozen broadcasting companies. Arbitron also has signed contracts with advertising agencies that place more than 90 percent of the national and regional radio advertising dollars.
