This red, medium-intensity beacon features a highly compact flash, which reduces wind load on fixed obstructions. Operating at 20 watts and measuring just less than 8.5" tall, the shock- and vibration-resistant D464 series includes Dialight LED optics to provide a sharp beam cutoff for a lower level of scatter (below 0.1 millifootcandles) over the full distance of one mile, while providing the FAA-required 2,000 candelas to passing aircraft. The lamp design can be retrofitted into existing incandescent fixtures and offers up to 10+ years of life expectancy. The beacon can be set to steady burn or flash.
