Dolby Pro Logic II Drives HD Experience to NAB Radio Show 2007
Charlotte, NC - Sep 26, 2007 - At this year’s NAB Radio Show, Dolby Laboratories, Inc. will showcase real-world applications of Dolby Pro Logic II audio technology.
In a car equipped with a factory-installed system incorporating Dolby Pro Logic II and utilizing content provided by National Public Radio, Dolby will allow visitors to its booth to experience multichannel audio in one of the most common listening environments for radio. Additionally, the company will display its professional encoding and decoding equipment.
With Dolby Pro Logic II, the surround soundfield remains intact, even while tuning HD Radio stations and during signal fades or other periods of blending to analog. HD Radio content encoded in Dolby Pro Logic II can be stored, edited, and broadcast as a traditional two-channel signal, and then decoded into surround sound by the Dolby Pro Logic II receiver in many of today’s car and home audio systems.
