Among the possible options to avoid loss of service would be maintaining key FM transmission systems without audio modulation, or a government subsidized replacement program for the GPS navigation devices.
The online calculator application allows users to enter specific information regarding their station's service mode and desired symmetrical or asymmetrical digital carrier levels, and then computes the total percentage of digital power required to achieve them.
During the decade and a half since digital radio's shaky debut, improvements to the Eureka 147 technology family such as DAB+ now seem to be paying off, as a new wave of rollouts takes place across Europe and elsewhere.
DAB listening decreased one-half percent during Q2-Q3 2010.
