South Africa Poised for DAB+
Johannesburg - Jul 18, 2013 - The South African Broadcasting Corporation hosted a DAB+ workshop at its facility in Johannesburg. Plans are in the works for a high-powered DAB+ demonstration, by the end of 2013, extending from Pretoria and Johannesburg.
More than 200 attended the event, including representatives from the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), the Government Department of Communications, public and commercial broadcasters, policy makers, network operator Sentech, device and automotive manufacturers. Harris Broadcast provided an on-air demonstration of DAB+ at the workshop.
