Sanyo, LG Plan to have DAB+ Receivers Ready for Australia Rollout
Two names in consumer electronics familiar to most Americans plan to test the digital waters Down Under with new DAB+ offerings.
Long-time player Sanyo is introducing three new DAB+ capable systems: the RPDB1 portable radio, the RMDB5 digital clock radio tabletop as well a component micro system, the DCDB10.
Not to be left out, consumer giant LG says it will soon launch its own FB164DAB DAB+ micro system that will include three-way stereo speakers, USB input and recording, and an iPod dock.
Sanyo expects to price point its portable and tabletop radios at about $130, with its component system coming in at close to double that amount. No price information on LG's FB164DAB was available at press time.
