Prague - Mar 1, 2013 - The Czech Republic's RadioKomunikace has started a pilot broadcast using programming from Frekvence 1 and Radio Impuls, according to Telecompaper.

The pilot program follows a one month DAB trial using the Praha-Zizkov transmitter, which covers 53 percent of the Bohemia and Prague regions, and nearly 12 percent of the total population of the Czech Republic, with just 1kW in the L band. The one-month trial was used to adjust parameters of the equipment and to test the entire broadcast chain.

RadioKomunikace hopes to gradually add other broadcast companies to the DAB mux.
