Norway Plans Regional DAB+ Networks
Oslo - Mar 18, 2014 - A new regional DAB+ network for the Østfold region of Norway will be completed around Sept. 2, 2014, according to F-B.no.
After the completion of the national network (which accommodates 22 channels), development started on regional networks. The new network for Østfold will be able to accommodate 20 different channels, 15 of which are already assigned to radio stations that want to participate. The network will consist of transmitters in Fredrikstad, Sarpsborg, Moss and Halden, providing coverage for about 300,000 people, as well as providing good coverage along the major roads.
