Laser Intros AM/FM/DAB Portable to Consumers
Sydney - May 31, 2011 - Australian IT and consumer electronics manufacturer Laser Corporation introduced the DG200AM, an AM/FM/DAB receiver. It features presets for 20 AM, FM and DAB stations, along with a scrolling RBDS display, and its 8" x 7" x 3" form factor makes it definitely portable.
"The uptake of DAB is progressing steadily with digital radio coverage in major capital cities across Australia. It still however leaves a large percentage of the population without full DAB+ reception. Laser developed the DG200AM to cater to a wider society, for listeners who still don't have digital radio coverage, as well as listeners that miss their AM radio," said Chris Lau, managing director for Laser.
