JVC Intros Navigation Systems with HD Radio
Long Beach, CA - Jan 10, 2010 - JVC Mobile Entertainment has introduced two high-speed 6.1" and two 7" WVGA display A/V navigation systems for 2012, two of which feature HD Radio.
Specifically, the two models featuring HD Radio (the KW-NT500HDT and KW-NT800HDT) include a lifetime subscription to Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic HD+/Total Traffic Connect, "a service providing on-screen real-time traffic, news, sports, and weather updates."
The HD Radio package also includes a bookmark function to store song information from music heard on HD Radio stations. Bookmarks generate on-screen QR codes which can be scanned by smartphones to download favorite songs. According to JVC's press release, the new 2012 navigation models with HD Radio feature a channel guide allowing HD Radio station and FM/AM radio station browsing by song and artist title. The 2012 models also integrate with both Pandora Internet radio and ClearChannel's iHeartRadio music streaming services, and they include fully functional Bluetooth with simple secure pairing and feature SiriusXM compatibility.
