Intel Buys Digital Broadcast Receiver Chip Developer Siport

Intel's acquisition of Siport enhances our abilities to continue as the leading provider of low power, single-chip CMOS solutions enabling wide spread adoption of broadcast digital radio."
Siport's major product is the CMOS, single-chip SP1010 terrestrial digital broadcast receiver, which receives and decodes FM + HD, AM + HD (with separate AM tuner), T-DMB (the digital transmission standard in South Korea) and Eureka-147 (DAB).
