Imagination Technologies CEO: DAB in Smartphones is "Next Big Stage"
Watford, UK - Dec 18, 2013 - Recent comments by an important technologist indicate that DAB chips could soon be coming to a new generation of smartphones, according to Samantha Green at Mazumamobile.com. Sir Hossein Yassaie, CEO of Imagination Technologies, said: "The next big stage is the penetration of digital radio technology into mobile devices." He went on to say that current technology "is ready to facilitate" this move to DAB radio, however there are still barriers. Additionally, he is quoted as saying that there is a need for "global standards support, low power, and low cost" to facilitate DAB technology in to mobile phones.
