VW to Expand HD Radio Offerings in 2012 Line
Volkswagen will expand its offering of HD Radio to include iTunes Tagging in their 2012 line, says a press release from iBiquity Digital.
Customers that opt for vehicles equipped with VW's new Premium VIII touch-screen audio system will find that in addition to HD Radio FM multicasts and iTunes tagging functionality, they'll also have a chance to sample what iBiquity has dubbed as The Artist Experience -- display technology that allows station logos and artwork images to display on a receiver's color touch screen.
Addition of the Premium VIII will buttress VW's current inclusion of HD Radio technology in models equipped with RNS-510 and RNS-850t premium navigation systems.
VW will have a Premium VIII equipped vehicle on display alongside other HD Radio technology in iBiquity's booth at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
