Mazda, Hyundai Announce HD Radio-equipped Models at 2011 LA Auto Show
Los Angeles - Nov 16, 2011 - The 2011 LA Auto Show is turning out well for HD Radio. At the show, Hyundai announced that HD Radio technology will be offered as standard equipment in its 2012 model Azera. The HD Radio-equipped vehicle made its North American debut during the Hyundai press conference at the Auto Show. This is the fourth Hyundai vehicle to launch with HD Radio; it will be available in dealerships early in 2012, and will join the Equus, Genesis and Sonata, which already offer HD Radio.
Additionally, Mazda announced that HD Radio will be available in the 2013 CX-5 model. This is the first vehicle from the Mazda family to launch with HD Radio. The HD Radio-equipped vehicle made its debut during the Mazda Press Conference at the auto show.
With this announcement, HD Radio is or will be available as a factory-installed feature from 20 automotive brands including Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini USA, Rolls-Royce, Scion, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
