Harris to Offer HD Radio Training in November 2011
Quincy, IL - Oct 3, 2011 - Harris has scheduled its next HD Radio class for Nov. 14-17, 2011, taking place at the company's Quincy, IL, manufacturing facility. The four-day session, including lunch each day, is free of charge.
The Harris Training Department will lead the HD Radio technology training program, covering relevant topics that range from digital consoles, networked audio systems and IT considerations in the studio; including antenna options and mathematical principles for selecting combining methods at the transmission site.
Participants will see and use the actual equipment required to plan, install, configure and verify a new HD Radio system; as well as test, maintain, and troubleshoot an existing IBOC AM or FM system. The course covers many of today's options for planning and managing a station's migration to HD Radio, including the latest updates on elevated and asymmetrical sidebands.
Harris will also bring in several presenters from third-party manufacturers of HD Radio-related equipment, keeping the course technical and balanced, and providing a unique flavor to the overall event.
Limited seats are still available. To attend, contact Harris training (training@harris.com).
