Google Trend Line for HD Radio less than Giddy
Consumers haven't been burning up the Net in their quest for more information about HDRadio, suggests Harker Research in a recent article posted at Radio Insights.
Harker cites a Google Trends search history comparison for HD Radio versus interactive music service Pandora, noting that HD Radio searches peaked in 2007 and have declined by nearly two third since that time.
The author goes on to observe that while such data doesn't demonstrate anything definitive about HD Radio's current adoption curve, a decline in interest doesn't bode well, given the fact that many consumers who profess to be "aware" of the technology still don't fundamentally understand how it works or what it does.
