Follow-up: 10 Highest Billing Stations Transmit HD Radio

Mar 28, 2014 - BIA/Kelsey's recent report on the 10 top billing stations shows that overall, radio station industry revenues remained steady during 2013, but are predicted to increase over the next five years. The top billing station in the country (four years running) is WTOP, Washington, DC, with overall revenue pegged at about $64M.

According to iBiquity Digital, further reading in to the report reveals the following details:

■ All 10 of the top 10 billing stations in America broadcast using HD Radio.
■ 23 of the top 25 billing stations in America broadcast using HD Radio.
■ 48 of the top 50 billing stations in America broadcast using HD Radio.
■ 70 of the top 75 billing stations in America broadcast using HD Radio.
■ 94 of the top 100 billing stations in America broadcast using HD Radio.

The number eight station on the list (KROQ, Los Angeles) recently added commercials to its HD-2 OTA broadcast.
