Chicago Bears Plans Own HD Radio Station
Chicago - Oct 29, 2013 - The Chicago Bears football team is exploring the idea of launching its own radio station, according to the Chicago Tribune. The team's deal with WBBM-AM and WBBM-FM includes the exclusive rights to an HD3 channel on 105.9.
The Bears President Ted Phillips commented, "How cool is that? I can't say we will do it next year, but the brainstorming will begin next year. In my mind we're probably looking at 2015."
The Pittsburgh Penguins, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Dallas Cowboys have their own HD Radio stations, and more pro franchises are looking at HD Radio, according to the same article.
