CES Shows New HD Radio Receivers
Las Vegas - Jan 6, 2008 - At the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show, Ibiquity Digital is highlighting its progress with HD Radio technology and touting a major increase of available HD Radio receivers. Nearly 100 HD Radio receivers are available now, which is almost double the number available in January 2008.
New tabletop receivers are being unveiled by Acoustic Research, Gigaware, Iluv and Teac. Almost all the major A/V component manufacturers have committed to HD Radio technology with Yamaha equipping five of its nine new component offerings with the digital upgrade.
Dual, Jensen Mobile and JVC are adding new automotive receivers, Iluv, Coby, Denon, Onkyo/Integra and Yamaha are adding to their home HD Radio receiver line, and the majority of Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony receivers are HD Radio ready.
