Geneva - Apr 4, 2014 -The EBU is reporting that German commercial broadcaster Klassik Radio AG has signed on to the EBU Smart Radio initiative.

The Smart Radio Initiative promotes the integration of analog and digital integrated circuits in mobile devices, and has seen great support throughout Europe over the past year. Seven major commercial radio broadcasters and associations have joined initiative, along with 11 public broadcasters.

The bundled support of public service and commercial radio strengthens arguments for the car industry, mobile networks and smartphone operators.
