EBU to Present 2014 Digital Radio Summit
Geneva - Dec 17, 2013 - The EBU 2014 Digital Radio Summit will be held Feb. 12, 2014. One of the keynote presentations will be made by Cilla Benko, the director general of Swedish Radio, who will discuss methods on transforming an "old, analog company" in to a new digital organization that can thrive in the world of smartphones and social media.
Another speaker at the event will be Herbert Visser of RadioCorp (Netherlands), and he will provide perspectives on how commercial stations see radio platforms evolving.
Nancy Wayland Bigler, from the Swiss Office of Communications, will discuss the Swiss plan for digital radio migration.
The BBC, Jaguar and Land Rover, among others, will discuss new developments in receiver technology. Teracom will discuss whether eMBMS (Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) is a viable technique for radio networks.
