DAB+ Radio Sales Continue Apace in Switzerland
Zurich - Feb 25, 2013 - At the end of 2013, more than 1.5 million DAB+ radios were in use throughout Switzerland, 365,000 of which were sold during the year, according the figures released by mcdt.ch.
Sales of DAB+ radios in cars exceeded that of 2012 by a factor of five, and the leading car manufacturers all offer DAB+ radios. Nearly 50 percent of all new cars sold in the country have DAB+ radios as standard equipment.
64 percent of all radios sold during 2013 in Switzerland were DAB+ capable, up from 53 percent in 2012.
