BBC Continues to Expand its DAB Reach
London (June 27, 2014)-- The BBC has turned on another seven DAB multiplex transmitters as part of its effort to increase DAB coverage of its national stations to 97% of the UK population by the end of 2015. In total, the BBC now has 253 DAB transmitters operating across the UK.
Its latest transmitters serve Whitworth Valley, Slapton in Devon, Swanage, Sudbury, Todmorden in West Yorkshire, Hay-on-Wye and the market town of Dolgellau in North West Wales, according to a516digital.com.
