Audio Science HD Radio Multi-tuner gets nod from Ibiquity
Audio Science HD Radio Multi-tuner gets nod from Ibiquity Longtime pro soundcard maker Audio Science says it has just received Ibiquity certification of its new ASI8914 four-channel HD Radio tuner card designed specifically for PC applications.
The PCI adaptor card contains four separately addressable AM/FM HD Radio tuners that can be fed incoming RF jointly or separately. Analog line audio outputs are provided, along with 32-bit mono or stereo digital audio as well as RDS and HD PAD data on the PCI buss. HD Radio multicast is supported, allowing the audio and PAD stream to be switched between the Main Program Service (MPS) and Secondary Program Services (SPS) under software control. On board recording formats include PCM, MPEG-1 layer2 and MP3, and each stream can be recorded or streamed at any sample rate between 8 and 48kHz.
Applications for the new card include HD Radio program audio and PAD monitoring/logging, remote monitoring and competition/market monitoring.
