San Francisco, Oct 20, 2010 - WideOrbit has appointed Dan Ackerman as general manager of WO Central. Announced in March of this year, WO Central is WideOrbit's online marketplace for agencies and advertisers to purchase advertising inventory from WideOrbit stations and networks.

Prior to joining WideOrbit, Ackerman spent 10 years with CBS Television where he held a number of positions in local and national sales and sales management in Philadelphia, New York and San Francisco where he was the director of sales. Most recently, he also served as vice president of worldwide sales and business development at Jivox, a provider of interactive online video advertising technology.
