Westner Joins iZotope as Business Development Manager
Cambridge, MA - Apr 12, 2010 - IZotope has hired Alex Westner to the position of business development manager. Westner joins iZotope from Cakewalk and will be tasked with the worldwide responsibility for the licensing and market development of iZotope technology.
Westner background includes engineering, marketing and product development. Beginning at the MIT Media Lab, Westner earned his master's degree specializing in audio signal processing. He consulted for Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL) and the MIT Brain Opera on audio research and development, and then joined Wave Arts where he transitioned from R&D to product marketing. This experience brought him to Cakewalk, where he ultimately became the director of the product management. His work shape many products including collaborations with Roland.
Westner will focus on the pro audio software, consumer software, console video game and iPhone app markets, with algorithms ranging from audio processing for video production to creative sound design, mixing, and mastering for audio production.
