TagStation Partners with Arctic Palm, Enco to Expand Integration
Indianapolis - Jan 22, 2013 - Emmis Communications has announced that its TagStation cloud service is expanding support for on-air system integration by working with Arctic Palm's CSRDS and Enco's PADapult datacasting systems.
In an ongoing effort to help radio stations take advantage of TagStation, the cloud-based engine that supplies data for the NextRadio smartphone application, Emmis has reached out to these datacasting services. Although the Broadcast Electronics TRE remains the flagship middleware partnership, more options for stations that want to quickly launch TagStation with the services they currently use, can help with more rapid industry-wide adoption.
"As more and more cars with digital dashboards are being sold, and in light of the recent deal with Sprint for NextRadio to be included in many of its new smartphones, broadcasters must keep pace with the broadcast requirements to support these evolutionary receiver interfaces," said Paul Brenner, chief technology officer with Emmis Communications. "These new partnerships, along with ever-improving streamlined installation processes will help radio stations implement a solution that serves compelling content to digital dashboards and smartphones."
According to Emmis, the ability to provide support for other middleware systems is important to the success of a rich hybrid radio artist and ad experience. Emmis welcomes partnerships with other systems. (Contact Mike Englebrecht (MEnglebrecht@emmis.com) for information on how to tie in with the TagStation cloud service.)
