Niles, IL - Jul 25, 2011 - Shure has appointed William Chan to managing director of the Shure Asia/Pacific business unit. Chan joined Shure Asia as regional marketing director in 2008 and was promoted to deputy managing director in 2011. As managing director of the Shure Asia/Pacific business unit, Chan will lead the Asia/Pacific team to oversee all sales and marketing activities.

Before joining Shure in 2008, he spent three years with Oracle Systems Greater China as an applications marketing manager and eight years with Apple Asia working in various positions, most recently as senior marketing communications manager, North Asia.

While working for Apple, Chan supervised the marketing communications team in North Asia and overall brand and marketing communications and public relations activities in Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan.

Chan received his master of business administration from the University of Hull,United Kingdom, and his bachelor of science degree from the University of Toronto, Canada.
