Cambridge, MA - Oct 9, 2009 - Izotope has hired Hart Shafer as director of product management. Shafer joins Izotope from Adobe Systems and will be tasked with the worldwide responsibility for strategy and design of Izotope's technology and products.

Educated in physics and mathematics at Macalester College, and a long-time media product management veteran, Shafer previously held various roles at Syntrillium Software, including product manager for Cool Edit 2000, Cool Edit Pro and the rest of the Syntrillium line. When Adobe acquired Syntrillium in 2003, Shafer transitioned to take on product management of Adobe's audio efforts including Adobe Audition and Soundbooth, and then Creative Suite Production Premium and unannounced projects in the Dynamic Media Organization.
