SBE Sets Plans for Third Webcast
Indianapolis - Sep 17, 2009 - The Society of Broadcast Engineers will broadcast its third annual SBE National Webcast on Oct. 7 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EDT. This will be the first time that the program will be aired live during the SBE National Meeting, this year being held at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino Events Center in Verona, NY. The Webcast and National Meeting are being hosted by Chapter 22 and its Broadcast and Technology Expo. This will also be the first time that the program will be broadcast during U.S. daytime hours.
Chapter 22 is providing or arranging for much of the technical and production organization necessary to produce the program. The broadcast will utilize a remote truck and several remote cameras. Live cut-ins will be made from the trade show floor.
SBE President, Barry Thomas, CPBE CBNT and SBE Vice President, Vinny Lopez will emcee the webcast and will be joined by other members of the national board and staff during the course of the program.
The SBE encourages members to reserve the one-hour time slot. Arrangements are being made to accommodate questions from viewers. The program will also be recorded and posted for later viewing on the SBE website. Webcast login details will be published in the October issue of the SBE Signal and will be posted to RadioMagOnline.com.
