Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Information has ordered four 250kW HF transmitters from Continental Electronics for use in a new digital short-wave transmission facility being added to an existing MW broadcast plant at Al Khumra, outside of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

According to a press release, the transmitters will be delivered to Saudi government contractor First Gulf tested and ready for DRM operation.

Continental has previously supplied Saudi Arabia with analog medium-wave transmitters capable of up to 2MW RF output.
