All India Radio (AIR), the national radio broadcaster of India and a division of Prasar Bharati group, is replacing its existing news and radio automation system with the Netia Radio-Assist 8.1 family of digital audio software programs. The installation of Netia software at AIR's national broadcast station and across 48 local stations comprises more than 1,000 workstations, and is being coordinated by Delhi-based systems integrator Progressive Infotech.
Cool Radio, with four radio stations in three Colorado Rocky Mountain resort markets, has updated its continuity and production with vCreative PPO's cloud-based, paperless production order. KBCR-AM/FM Steamboat Springs, KZYR-FM Vail, and KSNO-FM Aspen are using the system.
OMT notes several iMediaTouch radio automation purchases in the USA:
■ WRR-FM, Dallas, TX
■ KVUU-FM, Longmont, CO
■ KEXP-FM, Seattle, WA
■ WQZQ-AM, Nashville, TN
OMT Canada reports that the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group purchased iMediaTouch V4 for its Kelowna, BC; Prince George, BC; and Grand Prairie, AB; radio stations.
TuneIn and CBS Radio have enhanced their multi-year licensing agreement. TuneIn listeners now have access to the full roster of CBS Radio's 80 music stations, as well as a variety of stations available exclusively online.
Delta Media Corporation's four television stations and three radio stations have replaced their production orders with a paperless system by adopting vCreative PPO to manage continuity/production workflow.
