ABC News Radio, and TargetSpot are teaming up to deliver online advertising on ABC News audio content. TargetSpot will deliver in-stream audio, video and display ads within ABC News Radio content, which consumers can access via computer and mobile devices. Additionally, advertisers will be able to leverage custom offerings based on ABC News Radio’s broad stable of highly credible content and talent.
SRG SSR, the Swiss public radio and television broadcaster, has taken delivery of three new Studer OnAir 1500 12-channel, 6-fader consoles. Purchased from Dr.W.A.Günther Distribution, the Harman Professional distributor for Switzerland, two of the desks will be used in the TV studios in the Media Centre of the Swiss Parliament building in Berne, while the third will be used for mobile/location work.
Barix is exclusively supporting IP audio delivery between multiple studios and transmitter sites for Connecticut Radio Information System (CRIS Radio), Connecticut's only radio reading service for the blind. The non-profit broadcaster uses the Barix Reflector Service for audio stream delivery. CRIS Radio is also reducing costs by using the new Barix Reflector App to monitor on-air feeds in real-time from an iPhone. The Reflector service is hosted by Barix partner StreamGuys.
Salem Radio Network (SRN) has completed its infrastructure with Wegener network control and satellite receiver equipment. The network control systems at SRN and Salem Music Network (SMN) runs the Linux version of Compel with advanced store/forward control features for radio networks. SRN is deploying Wegener iPump 6420 audio servers to commercial affiliates in the Top 100 markets.
Salem Communications Corporation has signed a deal with TuneIn for its stations to be carried on the TuneIn network. Salem owns and/or operates approximately 96 radio stations, 60 of which are in 22 of the top 25 radio markets.
