Broadcaster, writer and photographer Philip Williams has completed the first quarter of a 5,000 mile walk around the British coastline to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society. Using a Yellowtec he is capturing interviews with local people as the basis of a planned radio series called "Characters on the Coastline" and an accompanying book.
University College Cork has chosen Axia mixing consoles and routing networks for its broadcasting department. CCR 98.3, also known as Cork Campus Radio, is an Alternative-formatted community radio station that's been on-air since 1995, and hosts more than 80 volunteers every week.
Austrian public service broadcaster Oesterreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) has purchased four IngestLINE CD-Lector CD-grabbing systems and several ActLINE MediaButler processors from NOA Audio Solutions. ORF will begin using the new NOA equipment in September to digitize its legacy CD library at its Vienna and regional stations.
