Joy FM is using a BW Broadcast RBRX1 to receive and re-broadcast a signal from 221km away. The station was looking to receive on 91.9MHz, but the unit was to be in the same building as three transmitters on 89.9Mhz, 97.5MHz and 99.9MHz. The RBRX1 is a re-broadcast receiver and stereo encoder with optional clipping and filtering.
Wallingford Broadcast/WYCO in Richmond, KY, ordered a Logitek JetStream console system with two Remora control surfaces; Stanford University's KZSU expanded an existing system with the purchase of a Mosaic control surface and The United Houma Nation/KUHN in Golden Meadow, LA, purchsed two JetStream units along with two Pilot control surfaces.
As part of a UK disaster response workshop and broadcast field trial, media charity Feba Radio will be using the BW Broadcast TX600 for training some of its UK staff and partners in how to use radio to respond to disasters, culminating in the setting up of an 'emergency radio station' which will broadcast to the people of Lewes (UK) on Dec. 3-4.
Christian radio broadcaster WDAC-HD1 94.5 FM, WDAC-HD2 94.5 FM, and sister station WBYN 107.5 FM have signed on to the Liquid Compass Mobile Division and are now downloading station apps to their mobile listeners' iPhones. The stations began offering the new service within the past 45 days and have downloaded more than 325 mobile apps thus far.
