Broadcast Electronics has been awarded a contract to supply the government-run radio organization in Bangladesh with a turnkey RF solution for a new FM network comprising of 10 site facilities with 12 FM 10S 10kW FM transmitters throughout Bangladesh. The contract for Bangladesh Betar includes transmitters, antennas and field installation as required for a new country-wide FM network covering major population areas in Dhaka, Comilla, Jessore, Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Rangpur and Barishal.
The NewTek TriCaster portable live production system was used to produce and live stream Nashville's popular Music City Roots, Live from the Loveless Café on June 16, 2010. The weekly radio show is broadcast live on Nashville's WSM 650 AM. The June 16 show was the first time it was streamed live using NewTek TriCaster. The show included performances by Brandi Carlile, Mountain Heart, Randall Bramlett, Mike Farris & The Cumberland Saints and Jason & The Scorchers.
