Sales Call for the Week of Feb 13 - 19, 2014
Alert Studio, the CAP-based message origination tool within Alert FM from Global Security Systems, successfully originated its first Wireless Emergency Alert. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) used Alert Studio the week of Feb. 10, 2014, to issue a series of WEA messages in relation to the winter storm that was affecting the state.
Wheatstone consoles and routers are being installed in several facilities.
■ Leighton Broadcasting (Detroit Lakes, MI) purchased two IP-12 network consoles and seven I/O Blades as well as an Aura8-IP eight-mode audio processing Blade, two M4-IP four-channel mic processor Blades and high-density logic LIO-48 Blade through Broadcast Engineering Services.
■ CBC Radio (Quebec City, QC) purchased an E-6 control surface, a TS-22 talent station and a TS-4 talent station plus several I/O Blades and Aura8-IP eight-mode audio processing Blade through Marketing Marc Vallee.
■ IMG College (Winston-Salem, NC) purchased two additional E-6 control surfaces and several Blades to expand an existing WheatNet-IP network.
Connoisseur Media, operator of 36 stations serving 12 markets across nine states, has signed on as the newest partner to deploy Marketron's revenue management and digital software systems. Connoisseur Media will use Marketron's traditional radio traffic system offerings, as well as the mobile platform and SMS service, and interactive digital systems.
