Sales Call for the Week of Nov 14 - 20, 2013
Mongolian National Broadcaster (MNB), the official, state-funded broadcaster in Mongolia, has placed an order for Netia's Radio-Assist audio automation suite. The digital audio automation software will be deployed for MNB Radio with the support of Netia's local partner, systems integrator Career Mart.
Australia's Southern Cross Austereo has placed an order for 31 Nautel VS, XR, and NVLT transmitters, which will be used throughout the country to replace aging equipment. The order includes one NV10LT, three NV7.5LT, 11 NV5LT, four NV3.5LT, one XR6, three VS1, five VS300 and three VS2.5 radio transmitters. Nautel's representative in Australia is Innes Corporation.
Wheatstone has posted several system sales.
■ Sound Fusion Media (Johannesburg, South Africa) purchased eight E-1 consoles and WheatNet-IP Blades for an ongoing community project in South Africa.
■ Brigham Young University (Rexbeg, ID) purchased six IP-12 networked console systems, an M4-IP four-channel networked mic processor, I/O Blades and WDM audio drivers as part of a WheatNet-IP system that will replace a Bridge system.
■ Corus Radio (Winnipeg, MB) purchased six SideBoard control surfaces, one TS-22 Talent Station and a WDM audio driver for an existing WheatNet-IP system.
WestwoodOne has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Weather Channel. The renewal runs through 2016. The Weather Channel provides daily, customized cross-platform weather reports to individual radio stations around the country.
