WGFX-FM and WKDF-FM in Nashville, TN, are the latest Citadel Broadcasting stations to sign up for vCreative PPO. On the system, submitted production orders are fully tracked with user, date and time stamping as well as perpetually archived with all associated files for easy access at any time. PPO aims to save the sales, traffic and production staff time through organization and accountability. Furthermore, Nashville producers now get the option to easily share voice talent to and from the 80 other Citadel stations currently using vCreative PPO.
Platformic, an online Web development environment and content management system has been selected to develop and manage the websites for three stations recently acquired by Local Media of America, a subsidiary of The Broadcast Company of the Americas: Magic 92.5 (XHRM-FM), Z-90 (XHTZ-FM), and 91X (XETRA-FM).
Echo FM is a student run community radio station that is part of Farnborough College of Technology in the UK. It began operation in May 1992 and broadcasts to the local community for one month in the year on 87.7 FM via a Restricted Service License and has worldwide coverage through the Internet. It has two fully equipped studios, where degree students work throughout the year, cutting their teeth as they learn the skills of the trade in a live and busy studio environment. In February 2010, the station underwent extensive renovation and refurbishment and installed a new Sonifex S2 split digital I/O analog radio broadcast mixer in Studio 1, the main broadcasting suite.
CBC/Radio-Canada Audio Post Production has selected the Sonnox Restore suites for use on the full range of its multifaceted programming. Much of CBC/Radio-Canada's programming originates in location recording environments and is often accompanied by extraneous noise from many sources including air and ground traffic, indigenous wildlife and weather. CBC/Radio-Canada also maintains an extensive library of pre-recorded and historical material, which requires repair for improved clarity.
